Almost no sun light,
dark days, rainy weather… that is Aalborg during December. Therefore any kind
of interesting cheerful activity is more than welcome.
And I would like
to share some of them with you. One evening I went to Archive of Dreams event
taking place at Aalborg archive. AAU art students were collecting data for
their semester theme project about narratives and interaction. One by one
you could enter the room where dream machine was reading your dreams and
project them as Spirograph drawing. While waiting for dream machine there was
opportunity to have a look at some photos from Aalborg archive.
I also went to
another concert evening organised by Aalborg Kammermusikforening at Musikkens
Hus, usually these concerts are free for students and that is nice. That
evening violin player Veselin Demirev and piano player Alessio Bax were playing
music pieces by Johannes Brahms.
At the beginning
of December Santa Claus has arrived to Aalborg on boat and he was welcomed by
city mayor. Kids were thrilled and were following Santa in carriage in
procession around city. Later that day Santa has lighted up the Christmas tree.
So after Sinterklaas I have seen this year also Santa Claus ...lucky me :D
We also went to
ArtAffair 3.0 exhibition to support our famous grumpy friend who has some of
his illustrations exhibited there. One more exhibition I saw in December was
Art exhibition of AAU student´s semester project, where our dreams from Archive
of Dreams were exhibited as well as other light installations or dynamic art.
