On friday early morning I had finally flew from Aalborg to Copnehagen to meet my mum and sis. I had a great time there, I guess this post will be more just about pictures. On friday we just enjoyed walking through Copenhagen, I finally saw the famous Little Mermaid and colourful Nyhavn (old harbour). By Royal palace we had a chence to see changing guard ( we just got there without even knowing that by that time this would happened here...guess we were super lucky). The next day we went to the National musem, where they just opened new exhibition about japanese photography. They have real japanese photobooth here, we spent more than 30 minutes by taking and decorating our photos, it was so much fun ! I would say this was my sister´s most favourite part of this trip. After leaving museum we went to the Tivoli, which is old amusement park from 1843. They just started their Christmas season and it was like being in the fairy tale or in the movie, everything was decorated but eventhoe it was not soo cheesy. They try to keep the retro look and it was nice. They had small pixie band, which was playing christmas songs, they had christmas markets here with this year´s theme: Russian & Nordic Christmas. We left Tivoli and went for a walk through city centre but we came back in the evening to see Christmas illumination- the show of lights, music, laser and fire at Tivoli lake with Tchaikovsky Nutcracker music.
On Sunday we went to see Christiania. Hm... how to describe that - it is area or district with its own rules: cars are prohibited here, people are living kinda squat life and they are selling and smoking weed here although it is prohibited in Denmark. For those reasons we were not able to take pictures here. But on our way to Christiania we made a stop at Church of our Saviour and clibed up to the church´s tower, which has I believe so called stairs to the heaven (see pictures and you will understand). In the afternoon we visited National gallery, I like how they ncely conected old and new building of this gallery, They did it in the same way as Stedelijk renovation is done in Amsterdam.
Despite my little health collapse in the evening right before my boarding time, when I did not know if I would be able to leave Copenhagen, I had a really great time in Copenhagen with my beloved mum and sis. Hope they also enjoyed their stay here.
Norwegian airline has wifi on board ! How cool is that ? I didn´t have a time to enjoy it that much because my flight to Copenhagen took 30 minutes. :D
