Bike problems, school work and some social events

Finally I am counting down my last days here before I will leave for Christmas. These days are really busy. I am working with my group on our brochure assignment, which seems to be almost ready (after staying 3 days in a row at school till the late night). I have never written such long and complex text as we did now, when we were writing our synopsis. I could not believe that we Wrote 5 pages just about the design and the message behind it ( I can share with you one day, when evaluation will be over).

On Thursday November 28 I attended Thanksgiving dinner and it was really nice, we had typical American Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, apple pie and etc. They were speaking about Thanksgiving history and then they gave us a quiz, but it was not a normal quiz, we had to guess peoples answers to this Thanksgiving quiz.I don't know how it happened but I have won thanksgiving quiz ...It seems like all the lectures about target groups have paid off because we had to guess people's answers to thanksgiving quiz and I got 11 of 14 correct....or maybe I was just super lucky :D

Weekend at work was super busy as usual and there is not so much to talk about. On Sunday, because it was the last day of November, I went to the Movember party organised by two Czech guys, it was nice but sadly I had to leave early because I needed to be fresh for Sunday´s work. Sunday was the busiest day at work I have experienced so far and I could feel the consequences the other day when I was super tired. When I came from school I felt asleep and I was sleeping for 2 hours (thankfully my grumpy, noisy and annoying roommate was not at home by that time, because I she would be there I would not be able to sleep I know that for sure). Maybe creator of my advent calendar suspected that I would have so small amount of energy that day, because I was saved by grape sugar bonbons (so I had enough power to go home from school).
But the lack of power was caused also by the fact that when I wanted to cycle home after work I found my bike with its front wheel empty. There was no air inside the inner tube, so I had no chance but to walk all the way long from city centre to south of the city where I live. It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to get home, so I had a lots of time to start worrying about how am I gonna to fix that problem if I had absolutely no time. Firstly I tried to pump it with the pump which is staying along my way home, but I was not successful. When I finally get home I call my dad and tried to figure out what is wrong with it, he forced me to take the bike inside and show him the inner tube valve at skype so he can tell me if it is OK or not. While I was skyping one guy with guitar passed me, he stopped and asked if I need a help. So thanks to him my wheel was full of air again and he even borrowed me a pump for the next day in case the air runs away again. Unfortunately the next day the wheel was empty again, so I spent 20 minutes trying to pump it again and put some air from miraculous German spray into it. It is OK now, so keep your finger crossed so it will least at least till December 11, because when I will come back after holidays I would have some tools for repairing my bike ( the best Christmas gift ever :D ) . It is really hard to be alone in country where you use a bike daily, I need to learn how to fix the most common problems you can come across while using a bike. :D Hmm now I can see it starts looking like our synopsis :D ...so long ...so if you stayed reading up here ..I promise I will try to keep the rest as simple as possible... but who knows...

On Wednesday we went to the museum as a part of our lecture. We went to see the work of Jakob Martin Strid, he is famous Danish cartoonist who won the price for best illustrator of children´s books this year. There was also nice exhibiton called Just Like Home by Danish illustrator Julie Nord.

And the last thing I have on my mind right now is to write you little bit about this terrible storm which we have here today. I have never experienced so strong wind. When I was cycling home, the wind was literally playing with me like if I was just a little tiny leaf. I was moving from one side of the road to another and I could not do anything to stop it plus I was not able to breath when the wind was coming directly against me. But as you can see I am safely home, writting this post. But this is the end for today. Hope you did not get bored.

P.S. My university is really cool, they are now trying to help me and Ela with the Mexico. Although they found just Aalborg family founding, which can give us just 1000 dk and it is not enough, they do not give up and they are trying to find some agency or someone in Mexico, so they can go there on behalf of our and UCN´s name. I like how happy and enthusiastic they are about our success, especially our class professor Iris and and Head of the International Relations Mette.
