The eighth day I had spent by walking through parks and riding through city. I saw again Aalborg hotel, which is close to Sarphati park. I remember how we discovered it last summer and how surprised I was that it is named after city in which I was about to start my studies. In the evening we went to Dam square to enjoy fairground attractions with Eliska and Prema. They were so brave that they let themselves shoot into the air in bumping ball, I would never do that !
The next day in the evening we went to explore Java island. It is small island on IJ which looks like a small city inside the Amsterdam. There are small versions of grachts with interesting modern bridges. Although it is mainly a housing estate, I felt much more pleasantly than on any other housing estate. We took the new ferry route (which goes from Amsterdam Noord to this island) to get there. And also the view from the ferry was so different from usual ferry rides because of extending modern prefabs shining into dark and reflecting its lights into the water. Next time I have to go there during the day to see how it really looks.
