One day after work we have decided to finally find Wi Eegi Kerki at Zuidoost about which we once read in article at some architecture website as being very interesting newly build Moravian church. Unfortunately we did not have a map with us and I just knew the approximate direction an position of it but not the way how to get there. Jan was working at West Amsterdam that day so I cycled from city centre to pick him up. Then we continued around Amsterdamse Bos and Amsterdam Ajax Arena to Zuidoost. But because we could not find it we asked several people it they know where to find the area where the church is, but unfortunately all those people guided us the wrong direction so we somehow ended up at the southeast end of Amsterdam. There were just windmills, fields and cows, but anyway we were not sad, because it was really beautiful. We were following our orientation sense and cycling back to zuidoost, Near Gaasperplas we found a map and we were saved, then we knew exactly how to get back and where to find Wi Eegi Kerki.
I am somehow happy that we were straying because we have discovered so many nice places and districts. On our way back home to Noord we were cycling through the beautiful Diemen (Diemen is of of the first settlements in this area, 2 centuries older than Amsterdam), where alley surrounded by canal from both sides (Ouddiemerlaan) and lovely old houses were. We have to definitely come back again soon and explore more of Diemen.
So this is how we unintentionally made a trip around Amsterdam which started in the morning at Noord and continued after work to West, North, East and back to North Amsterdam.
