Forget me not: Last summer days in Amsterdam

As the last days of my summer days in Amsterdam were approaching I was getting sad that I have to already leave but also excited because I was going home to see my family. During my last days in Amsterdam I have been on boat, cruising Amsterdam canals like all Dutch people do when the weather is nice and it was awesome. Everything looks different from the boat perspective; all the places I knew were looking completely different. Experience Amsterdam from bike and you will love it, but experience it from the boat (not touristic one) and you will love it even more.

Before going home I have also visited Stedelijk museum to see exhibition about costumes for the Ring opera, exhibition about theatre posters and exhibition about storytelling in graphic design and photography to get some fresh inspiration before my school year will start.

Because my birthday is at the beginning of September, and because I was leaving, my friends and Jan had prepared great dinner for me. It was awesome and delicious and I had a really great time.

On Saturday (day before my departure) Uit markt was happening in Amsterdam. It is big festival mainly for Dutch people about welcoming new cultural season. The whole Museumplein is full of stalls of different theatres and museums presenting theirs programmes for new season. There were also few stages where you could listen to music (e.g het national opera or some Dutch pop stars) or watch dancers dancing.

I have received gift certificate to American bookstore in Amsterdam and believe me I had a really hard time deciding which book to choose because they have plenty of amazing books there and everytime I go there I spent an hour or more just by looking at all books about graphic design
