Skagen trip

This post is going to be mainly about pictures from the trip to the Northern part of Denmark.

Saeby: marina and Saeby mermaid statue (600 school  children did small art pieces as a part of the statue)

Saeby -mini version of the city

Grenen: the northernmost point of Denmark, favourite place of Danish artists due to beautiful light. The Grenen is also the junction between Skagerrak (part of North see) and Kattegat.

German bunkers from World War Two

Skagen: city which loves yellow on buildings.

Skagen church

glassworks

fisherman houses

Råbjerg Mile: migrating coastal dune, the largest moving dune in Europe.
Migrating sand is big problem for Northern part of Denmark so the dunes are stabilised by planting, this one was left as it it for future generation to understand this problem.

breathtaking

Rubjerg Knude: lighthouse hidden between shifting dunes. The wind was relly strong that day, so I did not have a chance to get closer to it. But being just on the top of the first dune was amazing and little bit scary due to strong wind and sharp sand scratching every part o body which was not covered
